Sitting on the couch one Saturday morning, sipping coffee, Lee tells me he thinks we should get a camper, and not just any old camper but an Airstream! We look online to see what we might want and then give the dealer a call. By that afternoon we were the proud owners of our first home on wheels…a 22′ Airstream Bambi!
Of all the places in the world, our maiden voyage was to Walmart! We were headed to Gatlinburg on our first adventure. After working all day before we could leave, we knew we would not make it all the way there and would have to stop overnight. What better place than Wally World! We camped out with other RVs and a lot of 18 wheelers…it was interesting to say the least.
Our long awaited Gatlinburg getaway was finally here! We would get to experience the Smoky Mountains and Dollywood in an amazing new way, away from the noise and crowds of Pigeon Forge. To say it was peaceful and beautiful is an understatement. We had discovered a whole new way of life!
